The Superhero Showdown & How to Enter
For our 2026 CREATIVITY contest, we are asking students to do the following (all 4 items listed below are required for a complete submission):
- Create your original Superhero (be sure to share your unique Superhero’s name).
- Identify its unique “power.”
- Design and draw its costume (follow the rules and guidelines below).
- And finally, pick one of the villains listed below and tell us in less than 250 words what your Superhero will do to “fight or defeat” your selected villain:
Villain - Isolation Ivan
Sometimes a person feels lonely – maybe they don’t have many friends or are being bullied. Maybe they are in a new classroom or school, and they haven’t connected with anyone. Well, that can mean the villain Isolation Ivan is at work – people feeling lonely or not included makes Ivan very happy!
Villain - Horatio Hoarder
Even though Horatio Hoarder (HH) has plenty of healthy food, HH doesn’t share his food. The villain HH knows that there are people that don’t have access to food, and they worry all the time about where their next meal is coming from.
Villain - Coocoo the Couch Potato
Hate waking up early for school? Is school boring? You can blame the villain Coocoo the Couch Potato, who loves to have kids join him on the couch and NOT do their schoolwork.
Villain - Wreckless Ringo
According to Wreckless Ringo, we don’t need any safety rules when riding our bikes. He think it’s more fun to ride fast, swerving dangerously in and out of traffic, and scaring others as they walk on the sidewalk. That villain Wreckless Ringo doesn’t care about traffic rules…he just wants to have fun.
Villain - Raging Rocki
When the villain Raging Rocki is around, she loves to bully others by calling them mean names, making fun of their looks, even texting and putting hurtful comments on social media about them.
